Missions Flows from God’s Trinitarian Sending Love

Christian mission is rooted in the very nature of God as Trinity. The Father, out of love, sent the Son into the world (John 3:16), and the Father and Son together send the Holy Spirit (John 14:26; 15:26). This divine sending reveals that God is a missionary God—loving, outgoing, and purposeful in redeeming the world.

The church’s mission flows from this pattern: as the Father sent the Son, so the Son sends His people (John 20:21). Empowered by the Spirit, the church is invited to participate in God's redemptive mission to the nations. Thus, mission is not merely a task, but a sharing in the loving movement of the Triune God toward the world—to reconcile, renew, and bring all things under Christ.

In essence, missions arises from God’s overflowing, sending love and draws the church into the joyful privilege of making that love known.
