Doing visitation
Church members doing visitation is important because it reflects Christ’s love in action, strengthens the body of Christ, and helps meet spiritual and practical needs. Visiting the sick, the elderly, the lonely, or those in crisis shows compassion, offers encouragement, and keeps people connected to the church community (James 1:27; Matthew 25:36).
Visitation also provides opportunities to pray with others, share God’s Word, and bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). It helps the church care for its members not just on Sundays but throughout the week, living out the gospel through personal presence and service.
