Jesus: god the son
According to the Bible, Jesus is the Son of God, the promised Messiah, and the Savior of the world. He is fully God and fully man (John 1:1, 14; Colossians 2:9), the second person of the Trinity who took on human flesh to dwell among us.
Jesus was born of the virgin Mary (Luke 1:30–35), lived a sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), taught with divine authority, performed miracles, and revealed the heart and character of God the Father (John 14:9). He came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10), offering His life as a substitutionary sacrifice for sin on the cross (Isaiah 53:5–6; 1 Peter 2:24).
On the third day, He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). He ascended into heaven and now reigns at the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9–11; Hebrews 1:3). One day, He will return to judge the living and the dead and to fully establish His eternal kingdom (Revelation 22:12–13).
Jesus is the only way to God (John 14:6), and through faith in Him, we receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life (Romans 10:9; John 3:16).
