More Than Students: Raising Disciples
It has been an exciting first month at Grace Academy, and we are so thankful for the way God has provided and guided us every step of the way! As we look back on the early days, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the students, families, teachers, volunteers, and Grace Chapel church family who have helped make this possible.
As we begin this journey together, we are reminded that Christian education is about so much more than academics. We are preparing students to know Christ, follow Christ, and make Christ known. There is something special about seeing our school filled with the sounds of learning, laughter, and conversation while young lives are being shaped by God’s Word. Our desire is to create an environment where students grow academically while also growing in faith, character, and understanding of God’s calling on their lives.
Jesus called His followers to “make disciples” (Matthew 28:19) and to become “fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). That calling is at the heart of what we hope to see God accomplish through Grace Academy. Throughout the school day, we have the privilege of connecting learning with biblical truth and helping students recognize that all truth belongs to God. We want them to understand that their gifts, abilities, and opportunities can be used to glorify Him and serve others. When students treasure God’s Word and allow it to shape their choices, character, and relationships, they are growing as disciples.
After these first few weeks, we are especially thankful for the many ways God has been faithful. We know that shaping young lives is a long-term investment, and we are grateful that Grace Chapel gets to be part of this important work. We are not simply educating students; we are raising disciples—young people equipped to follow Jesus faithfully and become fishers of men.
We invite our church family to pray for our students, teachers, families, and school leadership. Pray that God will give wisdom, strength, patience, and joy, and that He will use Grace Academy to strengthen families, build up His church, and equip a generation to faithfully follow Jesus—all for His glory.
What a blessing it is to see these first weeks behind us and the journey ahead of us! We give God the glory for where He has brought us, and we trust Him for all that He will continue to do.
